5G | Definition | Jio-Google Partnership | Available in INDIA

What is 5G ?

5G is a 5th generation mobile network. It is globally new wireless network after a series of 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G. It comes with the high range of bandwidth which makes the downloading speed extremely high upto 10Gbps (Gigabits per second). With this high bandwidth it makes it possible for new applications in Internet of Things (IoT).

It comes with some improved specification such as ultra low latency i.e. the gap time between server and user is reduced , more reliability , massive network capacity and increased availability. But current 4G cellphones will not be able to use 5G , they will require 5G enabled wireless devices.

Why we need 5G network?

As of now we all have been adopted 4G network due to its improvements from 3G, 5G has come with its some of the high improvements from 4G and will provide better facilities from what we use.
Here are some points that are improved

 1. More capable than 4G

5G will now be able to work in different bands ( low , medium ,high) and different spectrum that enables its connectivity in every possible region and will support new services to massive IoT.
 2. Works in all bandwidth

5G will allow connections in every available spectrum form low(1GHz) to medium(1-6 GHz) to high(>6 GHz) known as millimeter Wave(mmWave).
 3. Faster

5G delivers upto 20Gbps at peak speed and 100+ Mbps at an average speed.
 4. More Capacity

5G supports high traffic more upto 100 times and increases efficiency.
 5.Low Latency

5G provides low latency and instant real time access.

When 5G network will be available?

For 5G to ready for users its has to face many problems such as 5G radio spectrum and 5g network equipment and a lot of regional testing. Jio has announced that it is ready for the tests and will be starting from early 2021 and expected to launch the 5G network by mid 2021.
Google has invested 33737 crores in Jio , with the aim of providing internet to all and improving mobile experience for all. Ericsson, a Sweden company,  known for its network equipment, has said that 5G will likely be available in India from 2022.
